BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Marathon will accept an extra 9,000 runners for next year's race.

UPDATE: The City of El Paso has required the organizers of this run to obtain a permit. Unfortunately, this cannot be done in time for Sunday's scheduled race. THE RACE WILL BE POSTPONED, BUT RESCHEDULED when a permit can be obtained.
