In a game that featured one of the more memorable endings that one could imagine in a high school football game, Coronado pulled off the tremendous 28-27 victory over previously unbeaten Andress.  The T-Birds, who haven't had their starting QB Angelo Donatelli since week one, came out flat as they allowed Andress to take a 14-0 first quarter lead...

(photos by Brandon Cohn)The Andress Eagles' epic season came to an end on Thursday night at the Alamodome in San Antonio as they lost 69-48 in the 5A Final Four.  Lancaster never trailed during the contest as Deon Barrett finished with 16 points, 6 foot 9 center Elijah Thomas contributed with 16 points and 14 rebounds, and Antwon Potrley

They say the third time is a charm; for Del Valle it proved to be as they defeated Andress 42-21 in the bi-district playoffs.  Andress had won the previous two meetings between the squads in the opening round of the playoffs.

The Andress Eagles dominated the Jefferson Silver Foxes at Baty-Simmang Stadium on Friday night.  The Eagles won the game 55-6, it turned out to be a one man show as wide receiver Eddie Sinegal had the performance of his life with 5 touchdowns, and 241 all purpose yards.

The Franklin Cougars played a superior game on Friday night against the Andress Eagles, despite a slow offensive start.  Franklin's high profile offense was non existent in the first quarter as they led 7-3 going into the second quarter, before they finally started pouring the points on by halftime.

After eleven weeks the high school football season is over and we can look ahead to the playoffs. All our 5-A schools are out of town while we will have four 4-A games here on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.

It's hard to believe, but we have reached the final week of the regular season. All the playoff spots are locked down in 1-4A and 1-5A. Canutillo, Horizon, and Ysleta are all vying for the final two spots in 2-4A. It should be a fun final week....
