Super Bowl Halftime Show Announced – It’s JLo and Shakira
You know I'm not a big fan of football, and honestly, even less so of the Super Bowl. It's too crazy a day to be broadcast on a Sunday. I wish they would move it to a Friday or Saturday night because that would give us all the weekend to recover. Until that happens, we'll all just have to slog to work on Super Bowl Monday and try to recover from our hangovers at our desks.
Commercials used to be the biggest thing about the Super Bowl but ever since the interweb has taken over all of our lives, commercials aren't that big of a deal. You can see them weeks before the big game on YouTube or Facebook or any other social media platform. By the time they air on tv, the commercials are so old that it's the best time to head to the bathroom for a quick break.
The Super Bowl halftime show has become the thing to see. Katy Perry with her Left Shark, Beyonce with her amazing show, Madonna with that kid who did that dance, and of course, Lady Gaga looking like she jumped off the stadium roof - Super Bowl halftime shows have become wild 12 - 15 minutes of pyrotechnics and surprise guests.
Super Bowl 54 will see Jennifer Lopez and Shakira take the stage on February 2, 2020, in Miami. JLo said she has wanted to perform during the halftime show ever since she saw Diana Ross perform during the Super Bowl, and Shakira said she is honored to perform on one of the biggest stages in the world with fellow Latina, JLo.
