Serena Williams Named Female Athlete of the Decade
Serena Williams has dominated the sport of tennis for a long time and the AP has named her the Female Athlete of the Decade.
Over the last decade there hasn't been a more dominant female athlete and one could make an argument that Serena was the most dominant athlete period.
Serena had won a dozen Grand Slam events over the last ten years and no other woman won more than three over than time frame.
She also won gold medals in 2012 in both singles and doubles with her sister Venus.
Not only does Serena Williams crush it on the court, she also does off the court.
She is a icon in tennis, fashion and to so many aspiring tennis players and young women across the globe.
Additionally during the last decade, Williams was married and welcomed a new baby girl to the world.
Hopefully, for all us sports fans, Serena can add another title or two before she decides to retire, but regardless, her legacy is etched in history forever.
