When you look back in sports history and compile a list of the dominant athletes ever, nobody will top Rafael Nadal on clay. The Spaniard won his 8th French Open title earlier today, defeating fellow countryman David Ferrer 6-3, 6-2, 6-3. No player in the history of tennis has ever won eight Grand Slam championships at the same tournament. What's even more impressive with Nadal's feat is that his career record at Roland Garros is 59-1. His only match loss came in 2009 at the hands (or racquet) of Robin Soderling.
