Let's get this right out of the way. Norway is absolutely running away with this Olympic Games. You can check the current medal count HERE, but at the time I'm writing this, Norway is in first with 26 medals, while second place is Germany with 18. The US has slipped to 6th in overall medals with 10. Anyway, here's your full Olympic update:

  • The Internet has found it's new hero, and that's German Madrazo of Mexico. He finished dead last in the 15km men's individual race. What made it so special? He was 26 minutes behind the gold medal winner Dario Cologna from Switzerland. But that didn't stop him from proudly waving the Mexican flag right before the finish line.
  • The US added a couple of medals over the weekend, with Nick Goepper taking silver in the men's slopestyle, and speed-skater John-Henry Kruegger also won silver in the men's 1,000 meters.
  • We have our first doping scandal in this Olympics, and not surprisingly it's a guy from Russia. But what it surprising is he's a CURLER! His name is Aleksandr Krushelnitckii and he won bronze. If he is stripped of his medal, then the fourth place finished would get the bronze and that would be yet another medal for Norway.
  • Sally Field is trying to set up her son with figure skater Adam Rippon.
  • NBC did offer Adam Rippon a job as a correspondent for the rest of the Olympics, but he declined because:
  • German skater Paul Fentz wore a Jaime Lannister costume and skated to the Game of Thrones theme while he performed the in the Men's Singles Long Program.
  • The ratings for this Olympics have been pretty bad. And that's across multiple platforms including NBC Sports Digital. The Winter Olympics is averaging 23.0 million viewers in primetime, down 6% from 2014, and it's the lowest of any Olympics since 1992.
