In addition to the football game played on the field, the Hyundai Sun Bowl halftime show has become a must-see for fans. Pop stars, well-known bands, and other major label recording artists have played at the Hyundai Sun Bowl. In the last 10 years, the list includes: Los Lonely Boys, Diamond Rio, Baby Bash, Rihanna, The Village People, David Archuleta, Lee Greenwood, BJ Thomas, and Lee Brice.

Yesterday, 47,809 people were treated to the country band Lonestar, who performed three hit songs from the stadium's 50-yard line. The group is comprised of four native Texans, Michael Britt, Richie McDonald, Keech Rainwater, and Dean Sams. Since forming in 1992, Lonestar has had nine #1 hits and three platinum albums. They played two of their #1 singles, "Amazed" and "I'm Already There", along with a recent single, "Pretty Good Day."
