Locomotive FC Set to Play First Two Home Games Without Fans
As the coronavirus cases continue to rise in the city and throughout Texas, the El Paso Locomotive FC has decided to play without fans in the stands for their first two home matches—Saturday, July 11, vs. Rio Grande Valley FC and Wednesday, July 15 against New Mexico United.
Both matches will be televised on El Paso – Las Cruces CW and nationally on ESPN+ at 7:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. MT, respectively.
The Locomotive FC officials will monitor the COVID-19 numbers and communicate with health officials for the future home games and the remainder of the 2020 season.
The club continues to remind its fans about the Cutout Conductor program in order to support the team. This incentive will give fans a chance to upload a photo of themselves that will be turned into a cardboard cutout and placed on a seat at Southwest University Park for each Locomotive home match. Each purchase includes the cutout signed by Locomotive FC players at the conclusion of the season, with the prices starting at $35.
