UTEP head coach Dana Dimel joined me to talk about his first recruiting class in El Paso, including NJCAA Offensive Player of the Year, QB Kai Locksley.

Dimel has certainly hit the ground running since he's been on campus. The longtime Kansas State assistant just completed his staff but has engaged recruits and fans in -- relative to the recent past -- a social media blitz.

Along with new Director of Athletics, Jim Senter, things have changed in a hurry in the high desert.

Will that translate into wins for a winless program?

It's cliche to say so, but only time will tell. Recruiting is a fickle business and you'll never hear the real skinny on any player on signing day, where coaches say every recruit may not be a five-star athlete but they all have five-star hearts!

That said, watch and enjoy the new attitude sweeping through El Paso. That alone should translate into more of those empty Sun Bowl seats being filled in 2018.

Check out the complete list of recruits coming to play for Dana Dimel in 2018, complete with hyperlinks to find out even more about them.
