Calling all local youth who are interested in joining the ultimate Firefighter adventure this Summer!

The El Paso Fire Department is back with their annual Summer Youth Camp which offers teens a unique opportunity to gain an understanding of fire and public safety issues while having some fun!

Students ages 13 to 17 are invited to sign up for the El Paso Fire Departments Summer Youth Camp.

Participants will learn about the El Paso Fire Department, search and rescue operations, and team-building skills, while also becoming advocates for safety.

“Learning at the Summer Youth Camp is highly interactive and hands-on in nature. Most activities are conducted in pairs or teams, in which the campers must work together and rely on each other to succeed,” said camp officials.

Last year the camp was limited to 24 students, but this year the Summer Youth Camp will be limited to 20 students, ages 13-17.

The camp will be a two-day event that will be held in Ascarate Park and will begin at 8 a.m. and last until 1 p.m.

Meals will not be provided so each person will be required to bring their lunch every day. Campers are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing, sunscreen, and closed-toe shoes, no sandals will be allowed.

Applications will close once all 20 spots are filled so make sure you download the online applications by clicking here.

Complete the application, scan, and email your application to GonzalezHA@ElPasoTexas.gov by June 2, 2023.
