Why New Mexico and Arizona Are the Best States To Spot A UFO!
Planning a road trip this spooky season? Forget haunted houses—alien’s are apparently living in the skies of Texas, New Mexico AND Arizona!
Well, that’s according to one study
According to a new study by Casino Alpha, Vermont is the ultimate UFO hotspot in the U.S., with a whopping 95 sightings per 100,000 people. But if you're in the Southwest, here's what you need to know about your chances of a close encounter.
Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona are on the map for alien activity
But their stats vary widely. Texas is surprisingly low on the alien radar, with only 21 sightings per 100,000 residents—so it looks like those extraterrestrials are steering clear of the Lone Star State.
New Mexico, however, is no stranger to space mysteries
With 80 sightings per 100,000 people, it ranks seventh nationwide. From Roswell’s infamous 1947 incident to modern-day encounters, the state remains a favorite among UFO enthusiasts. Will this Halloween bring another out-of-this-world sighting?
Arizona takes the tenth spot
With 68 sightings per 100,000 residents. Known for its stunning desert landscapes and stargazing spots, it’s the perfect place for spotting those strange lights in the sky.
How did they get these findings?
"Using 2023 Census data the population of each state was used to normalize the number of UFO reports per 100k residents. This figure was then ranked from most to least."
So, if you find yourself in Texas, Arizona, or New Mexico this Halloween, don’t forget to look up! The aliens might be closer than you think—or maybe they’re just taking the scenic route through the desert.
