Home Depot Celebrates Eastlake Grand Opening With $5,000 Donation To ‘Mija, Yes you can.’
Far east El Paso just keeps on growing and the newest addition to the area is a Home Depot!
Home Depot store #428 celebrated their soft opening for their latest store located on the corner of Eastlake and Rojas. The grand opening brought together excited staff and a crowd of family, friends, and local city representatives.
This Home Depot store opening had a unique twist on the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony. Instead of the customary ribbon, the team used a saw to cut through a wooden panel, symbolizing the beginning of a new chapter for the retail giant in Eastlake.
One of the highlights of the grand opening was Home Depot's generous contribution to the local non-profit organization 'Mija, Yes You Can.' The organization received a $5,000 donation.
Home Depot's General Manager, Isaac Garcia, selected 'Mija, Yes You Can' as the recipient of this generous gift because of his strong belief in the importance of empowering women, particularly as a father of two young daughters.
Founder of 'Mija, Yes You Can,' Iris Lopez, expressed her gratitude, saying, "We are a small non-profit that is solely run by volunteers. When big companies like Home Depot notice us and want to support our mission, it makes us incredibly happy."
Home Depot's commitment to giving back to the community while celebrating their expansion in Eastlake proves that their dedication to being more than just a retail giant.
Home Depot in Eastlake is now open to the public so make sure to stop by and check out the brand new store!
