Dallas Cowboys Roll Out the Blue Carpet for El Paso’s Finest

Alright so Cowboys fans are not having a good start to their week after Sunday nights loss to the Greenbay Packers BUT a few Cowboys fans who work in law enforcement are still appreciative of “America’s Team” after being invited to the game for a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

In an epic nod to Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, the Dallas Cowboys hosted several officers the El Paso County Sheriff's Office as well as El Paso Police.

Deputies and detention officers represented EPCSO at Sunday nights game as they were invited to unfurl the American flag during the games opening ceremony.

“Honored to stand tall alongside our fellow first responders at the Dallas Cowboy First Responders appreciation game”

 

A post shared on the El Paso County Sheriff's Office Facebook page thanked the Jones Family and the Arlington Police Association for the once in a lifetime opportunity.

“Our officers proudly participated in the opening ceremony, holding the giant American flag during the national anthem. A heartfelt thank you to the Jones family and the Arlington Police Association for this incredible opportunity.”

Detective Eric Orozco, with 20 years in the department, summed it up as a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity." 

"I hope we bring some good luck to the Cowboys."

Although it didn't even end in a win for the Cowboys it was still a win for those local law enforcement who got VIP treatment at the game.
