What would you do if a rattlesnake crawled out of your dashboard while you were driving? A Texas man handled that very situation in a very unique way.

I have come across rattlesnakes in the desert many times and have never freaked out. I'm typically pretty calm during a crisis and have been told that I'm the epitome of "grace under pressure".

This though ...

A rattlesnake crawled out of the dashboard vent in this guys pickup truck while he was driving and you won't believe what he did. If I was alone, I may have done something similar. At the very least, just calmly found a place to pull over and get out.

If I had a passenger though, that would be very different. Mainly because the person most likely to be in the front seat with me, my wife, would be freaking the **** out, yelling, screaming, throwing things, trying to crawl out the window, demanding my pistol, etc.(That's all before she REALLY loses it.)

The driver said he had placed a bag that he uses to cover his vehicles air compressor on the ground and thinks sneaky snake crawled inside it and then made his way into the dashboard.

He was able to pull the snake out of the dash and cool enough to let it go. He wasn't exactly huge, only about a foot long, but a rattlesnake bite is a rattle snake bite and serious business no matter how big it is.

Here's where you may find one in El Paso, here is how to treat a snakebite and ... if you, for some reason, care ... here are a few rattlesnake recipes.
