McDonalds Has A Surprise For El Paso, Texas Customers
McDonalds is trying to boost sales and they're doing it with a new menu that will save hungry peeps in El Paso, Texas and elsewhere $$$.
If the cost of those Big Macs was hurting your wallet, (it totally got me brown-bagging it), this new menu may bring you back to your local Mickey Dee's pretty quick.
McDonalds realized rising prices were keeping people away from their restaurants and, after facing a couple of other issues that have affected sales, they're jazzing up their menu with value meal combos and special deals.
The first hit McDonalds took was last month when an E.coli outbreak sickened over 100 people, put 34 in the hospital and killed 1 according to the Street.
Then, McDonalds took some flack online over rising prices with some claiming their had been a 100% increase since 2019. McDonalds quickly set that record straight with an open letter that claimed only a 40% increase.
Not as much but still enough to cost them some customers so now they're on to Plan B, keeping the value menu. The value menu was already in place but set to end. Now, Ronald is keeping it so, officially, starting January 7th, you can (still) get a McChicken sandwich, four-piece chicken nuggets or a McDouble with fries and a drink for $5.
The other offer is Mickey Dee's buy one, get one for a dollar offer. Buy an item off the value menu at its regular price and you can get a 2nd for just a buck. That's not just for burgers and nuggets either, you can order breakfast, lunch and dinner items.
