It's no surprise that if you travel to Texas, or El Paso, Texas, you will find an abundance of Dallas Cowboys fans. And some of the biggest fans are our boys in blue for the El Paso Police Department & the El Paso County Sheriff's Office. And I'm sure those officers that went to the Dallas Cowboys game on Sunday, January 14th, got the experience of a lifetime.

El Paso police officers & sheriffs got to unveil the American flag.

Right before kickoff, during the opening ceremony showed a lot of police officers from Dallas (and El Paso) unveiling the huge American flag before the game.

The El Paso County Sheriff's Office's Facebook page posted photos of many of the officers who attended the game right before the action.

Of course those officers were practicing with the unveiling before fans went inside & a video surfaced online, thanks to FitFam.

You can tell these officers were from El Paso, thanks to part due to the writing of El Paso, but the familiar black & blue EPPD badge is quite noticeable.

Before the weekend, Commander of the Patrol Division Ryan Urrutia spoke with KFOX and shared his excitement on having his officers attend the game with the honor of unveiling the US flag during the NFL playoffs:

"This is incredible because our employees get to see a playoffs game, they get to be appreciated for Law Enforcement Appreciation day and they also get to be on the field for the opening ceremony. So this really shows the collaboration between the Dallas Cowboys, the National Football League and law enforcement around the state of Texas".
