This Movie Star Was Also a Violent Serial Killer From New Mexico

Yes this is one strange piece of New Mexico (& Arizona's) history that not even Hollywood could've come up with. One of the state's most notorious killers not only has a starring role behind bars but was even an extra in a huge Hollywood movie. That man was Clifton Bloomfield.

What was Clifton Bloomfield arrested for?

Born in Kingman, Arizona, Clifton Bloomfield was arrested in 2008 & was charged of the murder of 5 people in Albuquerque, New Mexico between the years 2005-2008:

• 37 year old Carlos Esquibel on October 24, 2005
• 81 year old Josephine Selvage on October 27, 2005
• Tak and Pung Yi on December 4, 2007
• and 40 year old Scott Pierce on June 28, 2008.

What movie was Clifton Bloomfield in?

If you've seen the 2008 film, Felon, there's a chance you saw Clifton in the movie but you never knew it. Now that we know what he looks like, if you're wondering which scene it is, here it is. Keep an eye out for him...

That's not the only thing that Clifton was part of; there's also reports that Clifton appeared in the show Breaking Bad. However, I can't confirm it. If you do a search of "Clifton Bloomfield Breaking Bad", you can get the prison scene from Season 5, Episode 8. It's possible he MIGHT be in this scene so if you want to try to spot him, go for it.  We CAN confirm that he did indeed audition for the show, as well as another film, To Live and Die as this 2009 KRQE article shows.

The scary part of the whole story is that...Clifton appeared in the movie...AFTER his murders! (At least 2 of them).

And the story of Clifton just gets a bit crazier even while in prison too. He is currently serving life in prison but back in 2018, his story was talked about again after a prison guard was arrested in assisting Clifton get out of his jail cell.

This story proves that sometimes the people you see on the big screen aren't who they appear to be. Sometimes they might have a deep dark secret to them...
