This event is going to be out of this world! I'm sorry for the terrible pun! Arizona will be celebrating the discovery of the planet Pluto with a big festival because to some of us, it's still a planet!

Look, when I was younger, Pluto was most definitely a planet; anybody remember the planetary mnemonic: "My Very Excellent Mother Just Served Us Nine Pizzas"? What is the mother serving now?! Does the "n" stand for "nothing" now?

The "I Heart Pluto Festival" will take place at the Lowell Observatory in Flagstaff, Arizona this year on February 16 through the 19!

Pluto has had quite the journey, it was discovered as the ninth planet, then it was declassified as a planet and then be classified as a dwarf planet; Pluto has gone through a roller coaster of emotions so I think it definitely deserves a big celebration!

The festival will mark the 94th anniversary of Pluto's discovery which was made at Arizona’s very own Lowell Observatory- named so after its founder Percival Lowell.

This will be the festival's fourth year and will have events such as a pub crawl that when mapped out, the route will be in the shape of Pluto's symbol.

There will also be live music, science presentations, telescope viewings, constellation tours and Pluto-themed food and drinks!

All in all, it sounds like a great festival- especially for astrophiles and for those who are just pro-Pluto being a planet! You can find out more about the festival here.
