These Are the Restaurants Tyler Residents Want Back
(Tyler, Texas) Tyler restaurants are changing quickly, with recent closures, new locations, and expansions reshaping the local dining scene. From On The Border and Spring Creek Barbecue to new restaurants and businesses coming to town, the changes have East Texans thinking about the restaurants they remember and which nostalgic favorites they would most like to see return.
Tyler Restaurants That Have Recently Closed
Tyler has recently witnessed the closure of On The Border, a once popular Mexican restaurant that had some great fajitas and thirst-quenching margaritas. But the entire chain of restaurants closed. Then Spring Creek Barbecue on South Broadway closed. That place used to be packed on Sundays after church, partly because customers could get scoops of Blue Bell Ice Cream for free as a dessert! Within the last month, Tyler's Mexican-Chinese buffet concept, ElChino, closed its doors after being open for a few months. We can't forget about the sudden closure of Wendy's on the loop and Highway 155, but honestly, many of us saw that coming for a while.
