Bravos de FC Juarez lost 2-1 to Rayados de Monterrey on the road this past Sunday night. FC Juarez took the lead for the first 45 minutes of the match. However, the second half belonged to the local team as they were able to comeback for the win. The loss keeps the Bravos with 6 points thus far this season as a result of 1 win, 3 draws and 3 loses. They are currently in 15th place 2 points out of the playoff zone.

FC Juarez came out like a team that was looking for the win and 3 points on the road and was not going to try and play for and/or settle for a draw. Their first threat on goal came in the 3rd minute of the match and looked better than the home team for the first 15 minutes of the match.

In the 26th minute Dario Lezcano would score for the Bravos off of a headed pass that originated from a cross.
For the remainder of the half, it has to be said, that Monterrey had the biggest threats on goals. Those attacks on goal were led by star forward Rogelio Funes Mori who missed shots on goal with a open net hitting the right post on two occasions. Needless to say, the Bravos were lucky not to go into the dressing room with at minimum a 1-1 score.

Rayados would score 2 goal in 9 minutes, both goals were score by forward Ake Loba in the 50th and 59th minute.
Still the Bravos fought to the very end, creating more chances on goal that were legitimate threats than the home team. Simply put, the team from the Borderland was closer to getting the draw than Monterrey was getting the 3rd goal until final whistle blew.

After the match, Bravos head coach, Gabriel Caballero, commented regarding what unfolded on Sunday night. Caballero said, “We played a good game, but unfortunately we were not able to manage it well. We created chances on goal from the start, we scored and are winning but we were not able to maintain or extend the lead. Lapses in attention and focus, or distractions led to 2 goals in their favor leaving us empty handed as far as obtaining points is concerned.”

Up next for the Bravos will be a home match against Santos on Friday night at 830pm MST. The match will be televised nationally across the United States on TUDN.
