Bravos de FC Juarez are on a serious roll. The team for the Borderland is currently in 4th place in the Liga BBVA standings table. They also have rolled into the Copa MX semifinals and they will begin a showdown with Rayados de Monterrey tonight.

Simply put, FC Juarez is playing their best futbol of the season. Last Friday night, they once again scored 3 goals on the road en route to defeating Atletico San Luis by the score of 3-0. The Bravos put this match to bed in the first half scoring all three goals in the span of less than 15 minutes. This win, their fourth of the season, gives the Bravos 14 points on the 2020 Clausura season of the Liga BBVA.

The goals for the team from the Borderland were scored by Bruno Romo (32’), Flavio Santos (43’) and Dario Lezcano (45’+stoppage time).

The shutout was also important FC Juarez last Friday night as it helps their goal differential as far as tiebreakers go. The Bravos have also now scored 17 goals in 8 matches and is the second highest ranked goal scoring team in the entire league.

However, not all was positive for FC Juarez this past weekend as Flavio Santos was sent off in the 71th minute with a red card for receiving a second yellow card on a ticky-tack call. The Bravos, down a man, were still defensively sound enough to hold off an offensive onslaught by the home side.

Tonight's match against defending league champion Rayados de Monterrey is scheduled to kick off at 8 pm MST. It is the first leg of the semifinal of the Copa MX and it will be televised on both TUDN (Televisa) and on ESPN Deportes.

After the midweek Copa MX match, FC Juarez will host 3rd place Leon on Sunday in one of the highlight matches of the weekend. That match is scheduled to kickoff at 6pm MST. That match will also be televised on TUDN nationally across the United States.
