Bravos de FC Juarez lost for a second time in this past weekend by the score of 2-0 versus Atletico de San Luis on the road. With this result the Bravos record is now that of 2 wins, 1 draw and 3 losses after 6 matches, good enough for 7 points thus far in the 2019 clausura season of the Ascenso MX League. This is good enough for 14th place out of 15 in the general standings table.

Worse than the obvious next to last place in the general standings table is the effort that was put forth by the team from the Borderland on the road this past weekend. In 90 minutes of play, FC Juarez failed to generate a legitimate scoring opportunity. This team is going through some evident struggles highlighted by the lack of relevant presence on the pitch by some of their star players who have simply not been factors as of late.

This coming Saturday, at home, the Bravos will face another solid opponent in Club Celaya a team that is currently in the 8th and final playoff spot in the general standings table and will no doubt look to take advantage of a struggling FC Juarez to solidify its position in the general standings table even more.

Prior to this weekend's match, the Bravos will have a very important engagement tonight, also at home versus first division Puebla in Copa MX play.

While the Bravos are struggling in league play, they are one of the top teams in the midweek competition. A win tonight will give the Bravos a number one seed in the knockout phase and home field advantage for the remainder of the competition.

Tonight's match will be televised nationally across the United States on ESPN Deportes and on the Watch ESPN app. The match is scheduled to kickoff at 6pm MST at Benito Juarez Olympic Stadium.
