The countdown is on for Super Bowl LV. The big game pits the Kansas City Chiefs against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with kickoff at 4:30 p.m. I'm sure by now many already have their preferred choices of who will win; however, if you're like me and only care about eating wings and watching The Weeknd perform, then perhaps this is for you.

The El Paso Zoo Asian elephant, Savannah, has made her prediction of who will be winning this year's Super Bowl. If you were gunning for Tom Brady and the Buccaneers  to be the victors by our magnificent Asian elephant, I regret to inform you that she has decided to choose Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs as the champions of this years Super Bowl!

How adorable is Savannah?!

Savannah made her Super Bowl prediction by herself this year as Juno the other Asian elephant at the EP Zoo is recovering after having surgery to remove a malignant mass in her right mammary gland back in November.

The El Paso Zoo is not only celebrating Savannah's prediction but it is also preparing to open up this month. the EP Zoo has been approved by the city to reopen! They made the announcement on Facebook with a set date of February 10.

In addition to their social distancing guidelines, the EP Zoo will be limited to 75% occupancy and keep some indoor buildings closed to the public. The African Star Train, the Hunt Family Endangered Species Carousel and the Copper Canyon Ropes Challenge course will also remain closed, at this time. Keeper chats and interactive activities will not be offered until further notice. You can read more about that here.
