El Paso Paranormal Group Hosting Investigative Ghost Tour of Actively Haunted Austin High School
Paranormal experts are in agreement that there are 5 types of places known to experience more hauntings: cemeteries, churches, hospitals, theaters, and schools.
By many accounts, Austin High School is one such actively haunted institution.
Austin High School Ghost Tour
On Saturday, October 29, a local paranormal group is hosting an investigative ghost tour of the second oldest high school in El Paso where some freaky stuff has been going on for many years.
Bonnie Juarez, President of The Paso Del Norte Paranormal Society (Ghosts 915) which will be conducting the tour, has led numerous investigations and tours of Austin High School over the years and is very well versed in the hauntings, legend, and lore of the building located in the heart of historic Central El Paso.
Apparition Caught on Camera
One of the freakier moments was a ghostly apparition caught on camera by the group while on one of those previous investigations. Juarez believes it to be the spirit of a former longtime custodian.
And in fact, in video of the haunting posted below the dark yet see-through figure seen walking the hallway appears to be pushing an unseen dust mop or push broom.
What to Know If You Want to Gho(st)
Saturday’s ghost tour will take you to the school’s active locations where tales of its haunted history and ghostly alumni will be told.
You'll learn what Ghosts915 uncovered at each hot spot, and immerse yourself in the ghost hunt using the group's meters, sensors and other equipment.
If you want to cross ‘investigate a haunted El Paso high school’ off your spooky things to do bucket list, get your tickets and walk the dark halls while you listen to the ghost stories of the almost 100-year-old high school. Proceeds to benefit Austin High School Student Council.
