When the COVID-19 pandemic craziness hit, our kids were taking part in their normal routine. They got up, they got ready for school, a lot of them went out to the bus stop and from there they went to school. When everything shut down and we stopped seeing their normal day-to-day activities, we forgot about the way they used to handle their day. Now that things are getting back to normal, something simple like waiting for a school bus is something we all notice. A local mom noticed that kids were waiting for their school bus in front of her house and sitting on the rock wall. She thought she could do better than that for those kiddos.

Jenny Solo said when she saw kids waiting on her rock wall waiting for the bus that would take them to Brown Middle School she wanted to do something for them. Her husband and father-in-law decided to pitch in and they designed and built some adorable cinder block benches and gave them to Jenny as a Mother’s Day gift. I truly have never seen anything so sweet and fun, and I'm totally jealous. Check out how fun Jenny's benches are:

When I saw how easy it is to make these benches I decided to try them out myself. I think I'm sensing a weekend DIY project. They would be amazing in a backyard. Not only would they take up space, but they could be used for benches for people to sit on or for plants. Jenny, you, your husband, and your father-in-law should go into business selling these benches. They're amazing!
