El Paso Locomotive FC announced today that they will officially kick off their preseason schedule on Saturday, Jan. 26, with a friendly against Texas United (NPSL) at 2 p.m.

They will also take on clubs such as New Mexico United, San Antonio FC, OKC Energy FC and Ascenso MX club, FC Juarez.

Unfortunately for fans, all preseason matches are closed to the public.

 

“We want our first impression to our fans to be the best version of our team and that best version will be seen on March 9th versus OKC Energy FC in Southwest University Park,” said Andrew Forrest, General Manager of the Locomotive FC.

“Preparation as a new team that is just now coming together for the first time with 22 new players is crucial. We want the fans to see our team at the highest caliber and that will be evident in our inaugural home opener,” added head coach Mark Lowry on the closed preseason matches.

The Locomotive FC will hit the field officially for their inaugural home opener against OKC Energy FC on March 9 at Southwest University Park.
