I love a good trip to the El Paso Zoo during the summertime but if I’m being honest, it’s the heat that always gets the best of me when I take my son to the zoo.

Well, if you’re in the same boat as I am then you’ll be excited to know that starting Saturday, July 9th, you can head to the El Paso Zoo AFTER HOURS!

Mind blown. I know.

The El Paso Zoo recently shared the exciting news on a post on their Facebook page with the caption reading, “Cool off with us every Saturday in July starting the 9th as for our 5 AFTER 5 Kids Nights presented by Raising Cane's!”

Families will have a chance to choose whether they want to make it a day trip to the zoo with their little ones or if they want to make it a night out at the zoo with these extended zoo hours AND a special discounted price after 5 p.m.

The El Paso Zoo will open at it’s regular time of 9 a.m. but instead of closing at 4 p.m. the zoo will stay open until 8 p.m. every Saturday in the month of July.

These new hours are a way for the zoo to attract more families that may have put off going to the zoo due to the extreme heat the borderland deals with during the summer time.

The El Paso Zoo will also be offering a special discounted admission price of $5 for zoo go-ers that head to the El Paso Zoo after 5 p.m. every Saturday in July

Families can enjoy the sights and sounds of the El Paso Zoo in the evening as well as live performances from Lucha of El Paso and Odd Lab.
