State documents posted online show the Oregon-based coffee chain -- already in the process of brewing and infusing the east side, Horizon City, and northeast -- has plans for the vacated Pizza Hut building across the street from CVS at 5201 Montana.

Its mini-invasion began in October of 2021 when the first Dutch Bros made its Sun City debut at next to the West Town Marketplace in Northwest El Paso.

A second one opened February 2022 on the other side of town in the Eastlake Commons open-air mall along Eastlake Blvd. A third location opened on North Mesa near UTEP in June.

Per the company website, an east side location at 1122 McRae in the At Home Décor parking lot, another at 4810 Woodrow Bean Transmountain Dr., one at 13790 Horizon Blvd in Horizon City are “opening soon.”

They’re all in various stages of planning and construction so there is no word yet on exact opening dates.

Like the three that are now open, the future Chelmont area shop will have two drive-thru lanes, one drive-thru service window, and a walk-up window. Unlike the other three, however, this one won’t have outdoor seating, according to paperwork filed.

The docs state demolition of the abandoned Pizza Hut and construction of a new building will begin on or about November 14, with a projected completion date February, 2023.
