The Dallas Cowboys are 3-0 by defeating teams they should have beaten in the way they should have won. The Miami Dolphins were no match for Dallas at AT&T stadium losing 31-6 and never posed a threat during the game. It was good to have the return of defensive lineman Robert Quinn who was activated after his two-game suspension and is why Taco Charlton was waived. Also, rookie running back Tony Pollard has two first as he found the end zone during the game for his first NFL touchdown while rushing for over 100 yards for the first time with 103.

Zeke Elliott churned out another 100-plus yards and Dak Prescott threw for 246 yards, a pair of touchdowns and one interception. Both of Dak’s touchdown passes went to wide receiver Amari Cooper who quietly awaits to sign his new contract deal with Dallas. Dak also scored for the Cowboys by running in a touchdown as well. This decision-making bodes well for a quarterback who will face two legitimate opponents in the upcoming weeks in the Saints and Packers.

Defensively it was good to see no touchdowns scored, less than 7 points scored by Miami and a turnover created in the red zone. Another positive to see was the return of defensive lineman Robert Quinn whose energy was apparent as he was in high gear making plays and disrupting the Dolphins offense throughout the game. This was solid defensive effort by a group who did not look past a team to concern itself with better teams next on the schedule.

Overall, the Dallas Cowboys have been on a business as usual course in its first three games of the season. The NFL set the schedule and the Cowboys played their opponents and won. The New York Giants got their first win no matter if it was gifted while Philly and Washington who the Cowboys beat last week suffered defeats. To say that the next two opponents are business as usual would be outstanding, however without Drew Brees the Saints at home will be competitive using Teddy Bridgewater at quarterback and the Aaron Rodgers led Packers are currently undefeated as well.
