The NFL preseason is only one week old, but already Dak Prescott is quickly becoming the talk of Dallas. The Cowboys fourth round draft pick from Mississippi State looked great Saturday night against the Los Angeles Rams in his first ever NFL game. Prescott completed 10 out of 12 passes for 139 yards and a pair of touchdown passes. Dez Bryant, who caught the first touchdown pass, had nothing but praise for the rookie signal caller afterwards. "I think the best thing about Dak is that he is extremely calm," Bryant said of Prescott. "It's like he's been here before. He's not playing like a rookie. He is going to be very good; he's special."

Former UTEP quarterback Jameill Showers played the second half and completed 8 out of 15 passes for 99 yards. He did not throw for a touchdown, but he also did not turn the ball over. If Prescott wins the backup job, the Cowboys would more than likely keep Showers as the team's third quarterback. Dallas' next preseason game is Friday night at home against the Miami Dolphins. Kickoff is at 6pm and you can listen to the game on 95.5 FM KLAQ.
