Just six short weeks ago, Chelsea FC were in disarray and much of the talk out of West London was, when would new boss Andre Villas-Boas be fired?

My how things have changed.

Since losing at home to Arsenal on October 29th, the Blues are 4-1 in the English Premiere League, moving to 3rd position in the table. Chelsea also won a crucial group stage match against Valencia to advance to the round of 16 in Champions League play.

This past Monday was perhaps the best signal that Chelsea have finally bought into the "Villas-Boas" philosophy. The Blues took down the previously unbeaten table toppers, Manchester City 2-1. With this win, Chelsea moved up the table to within 7 points of Manchester City and now go from talking about hopefully finishing in the top four, to talking about a Premier League Championship.

With the January transfer window fast approaching, look for the Blues to make one, maybe two moves, to help position themselves for a run at another Premier League Cup.

The emergence of  strikers Daniel Sturridge and Juan Mata have made Nicolas Anelka and Fernando Torres expendable. It has been reported that Anelka has signed a two year deal with Shanghai Shenhua of China and will move there in January. Torres has yet to find his way at Stamford Bridge and sources are reporting that Chelsea would take 20 Million Pounds for Torres, which is much less than the 50 Million Pounds they paid Liverpool FC for him almost a year ago.

If Chelsea FC has made these strides in just six weeks, imagine what could happen with a little tweak here or there?
