Legendary Mexican boxer, Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. looks to be open to the idea of being the main voice in his son Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.'s corner.

Chavez's Jr. seemed to not agree with a lot of his former trainers techniques Freddie Roach, prior to his fight with Sergio Martinez.

He basically did whatever he wanted and left Roach on many occasions waiting, only to later to completely bail on him.

Roach still say's he is willing to work with Chavez Jr. but more than likely not a significant role.

So, If I really had to say if this was a good move for Chavez Jr., I'd probably say its a great thing for him I just don't see his father letting him take things lightly throughout training.

Jr.'s next fight is Sept. 7th against Brian Vera and although Chavez Sr. says this is a one time thing. I believe that if things go well we will be seeing the former three-division champ take a bigger role in his son's boxing career.
