Although their fight is just three days away, the trainers for Manny Pacquiao and Brandon Rios staged their own main event in Macau. Earlier today, Freddie Roach (Pacquiao) and Robert Garcia (Rios) squared off in what was first a verbal and then a physical confrontation at a gym beneath the Venetian Macau, the site for Saturday night's clash. Alex Ariza, Rios' strength and conditioning coach got involved int the altercation and actually kicked Roach in the stomach. The incident started because Roach felt that Garcia was using more than his allotted workout time. Before you watch the video, be warned that it does contain a "NSFW" rating.

This is not the first time in sports that members of an opposing side have tangled before the main event. Even coaches from UTEP and New Mexico men's basketball teams had to be separated by players when their argument turned physical prior to their NIT game at the Pit in 2009. The Miners had been on the court in their shootaround when they spotted Lobos coaches watching the workout. UTEP asked them to leave and when the UNM coaches refused, things turned ugly.
