The city of Boston is still very much in recovery mode after Monday's bombings rocked the Boston Marathon.  After 9/11, sports helped both New Yorkers and Americans attempt to carry on with their daily lives.

Tonight's Sabres/Bruins game was the first major sporting event in Boston since the bombings.  At times, fans can treat the national anthem as a necessary delay to the start of the game.  That was certainly not the case at the TD Garden.

It sounded as if every single fan in attendance sang the "Star Spangled Banner" like they had never sung it before.
