Spate of Biting Incidents Against Local El Paso Cops
Two separate incidents of people biting El Paso, Texas law-enforcement officers have made the news on back to back days.
In Sunday’s El Paso Times, it’s reported that a drunken road-rager bit a Horizon City police officer on the hand as he was being arrested.

According to the Times story (written by Aaron Martinez) Horizon police were responding to a report of a road rage incident about 9:20 pm on Wednesday night.
In the course of apprehending the driver, 28 year old Eduardo Vasquez, the officers report being spit at and one officer was bitten on the hand, allegedly by Vasquez.
Vasquez was allegedly driving drunk and had a gun on him at the time of his arrest.
The OTHER biting incident involved a Border Patrol agent and an undocumented migrant was reported in MONDAY’S El Paso Times.
The Times story says that a 19 year old migrant, Jhon Rincon-Teran of Venezuela attacked and bit a BP agent at the migrant processing center in Northeast El Paso.
The story, also written by the Time’s Aaron Montez, says the attack happened after officers told a group of migrants NOT to the hoard the daily rations of food they were given.
Rincon, the suspect, reportedly became agitated by this and “started doing push-ups and banging the floor”.
The Border Patrol agent let that slide because he wasn’t hurting anyone and wasn’t breaking any of the rules.
It was only after Rincon allegedly started running around the detention cell, “acting aggressively” toward other migrants that the agent ordered him out of the cell to de-escalate the situation.
It was during this arrest that the officer says Rincon bit him.
There’s probably a list of “things that will keep you from EVER getting asylum in the U.S." and biting a Border Patrol agent is probably near the top.
