I was born in Los Angeles in 1978 and originally came to El Paso in 1986 at the age of 8. After moving to Chicago with my mom, sister and stepfather in 1989, I returned to El Paso permanently in 1991 to live with my father. I graduated from Coronado High School in 1997, and went on to obtain a Bachelors in Broadcast Journalism from UTEP in 2004. During my tenure at UTEP, I worked for KTEP 88.5 FM and officially began working for 600 ESPN El Paso in 2004. In 2005, I began co-hosting and producing CrunchTime and in 2007 became a reporter for Football Friday Night. In 2012, I began hosting my own podcast called “Deep Dish Sports” in honor of my love for my second home, Chicago. In 2015, I began broadcasting UTEP Women’s basketball home and road games for 600 ESPN El Paso, and in July of 2016 I became the host of CrunchTime. In 2017, I was given the prestigious honor of being named as the best DJ/Radio personality for the El Paso Times “Best of the Border.” A few of my hobbies include traveling, going to the movies, playing golf and spending time with family and friends. My favorite teams are the Chicago White Sox, Bulls, Blackhawks, Cowboys, UTEP and Mizzou. Overall, I consider myself to be one of the most fortunate people in the world because I am truly living my dream as a sportscaster for ESPN El Paso.

Packers’ Ty Montgomery Should be Cut
The Green Bay Packers were on the verge of knocking off the undefeated LA Rams on Sunday until running back Ty Montgomery fumbled a kickoff with 2:05 remaining in the game. The scene was set for one of the top quarterbacks in the league in Aaron Rodgers to do what he does best, and march down the field with 1:56 left, down by two-points 29-27, and lead his team to the comeback win...
Austin Destroys Irvin 27-7 at Tony Shaw Field
In a game that consisted of eight combined turnovers, the Austin Panthers went into a hostile environment and handily defeated a red hot Irvin Rocket team 27-7 that came into the contest riding a four-game winning streak. The game began with a plethora of turnovers on both sides as Austin's running back Will "Da Beast" Rodriguez coughed it up on the Panther's opening drive, then two pla
UTEP Will Win Against UAB
Call this the boldest prediction of the week, or call me crazy, I've been called worst in my time, but the UTEP Miners are going to knock off UAB this Saturday at the Sun Bowl to win their first game in nearly two seasons. The Miners have lost 19 consecutive games, which marks the longest losing streak in the nation, and to be precise, haven't won a game in 698 days...

Deion Hankins Rewrites History with Win Over Hanks
In what could only be described as a dreary, chilly evening with a constant downpour for more than two and a half hours, Parkland running back Deion Hankins put on a show for the ages by becoming the first El Paso high school football player to eclipse more than 6,000 career rushing yards...
UTEP Fans Gone Forever?
In the wake of the ongoing attendance problem that UTEP football has endured for quite some time now, it has lead me to ask two key questions; will fans ever want to come back to the Sun Bowl to watch a program that has been on the decline for years now, and will this issue inevitably lead to the Miners dropping to Division II for football...
Jason Garrett Should be Fired Immediately
Dallas Cowboys' coach Jason Garrett has always been one of those guys who just seems like a great person that would be ideal to hang out with and watch a game while downing a few beers. My memories of him are that of a descent career backup quarterback, a good assistant coach, but overall, a mediocre head coach...
Andress Downs Austin in Their 2-5A Opener
Andress continued their dominance over Austin in their 2-5A opener at Allan Sepkowitz Stadium on Friday night. In what was a sloppy, turn over filled defensive battle, the Eagles pulled away in the fourth quarter for the 30-12 victory...
Del Valle Cruises to an Easy Victory Over Former District Foe Canutillo
On what could only be described as a pristine evening in far east El Paso, Del Valle hosted former 2-5A foe Canutillo at Conquest Stadium to continue a rivalry that has been both exciting and exhilarating to say the least. The Conquistadores were coming off an early season bye in a sense since their game at Hutto was canceled last week because of inclement weather in the Austin area, while Canuti
Canutillo Soars Over Mountain View 26-3
Canutillo continues to impress as they defeated previously unbeaten Mountain View 26-3 at Lowenberg Stadium on Friday night. The game was a battle of field goals in the first half as the Eagles took a 6-0 lead over the Lobos heading into the locker room...
