Buzz Adams is a proud Okie -- hailing from the 41st largest city in the Sooner state. After stints in the manufacturing and agriculture sectors, a young Buzz realized early on that he wasn’t “cut out” for “real work”. Realizing his predicament, he decided to do something about it. Buzz listed the “top 100 cushiest jobs someone will pay you actual money to do”. He narrowed down his list to “toll booth operator”, “house-sitter” and “radio deejay”. Buzz heard back from KLAQ-FM first (they narrowly beat the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority) and Buzz began his meteoric rise to local radio stardom.
