Sometimes an idea is so bad that it's actually pretty genius. That's exactly what happened when a local strip club in El Paso was turned into a Starbucks. Don't forget to watch the video at the end!
As you can read from an article written by Buzz Adams, a strip club turning into a Starbucks is a plot point in the comedy Idiocracy.
So I wondered how I could take this bad idea and somehow make it worse by coming up with the top five businesses to build at a place where a strip club used to be, that is somehow worse than a Starbucks.
#1 Daycare
Opening a daycare where a strip club used to be is like opening a firework stand where somebody committed arson. At least all those dancers who need child care for their midday shifts got it covered.
#2 Church
The only person named Jesus at a strip club is the bouncer. Most of the time strippers leave the industry to find God. Now they don't have to drive as far.
#3 STD Clinic
Something that should be part of the interior for every strip club, an STD clinic actually might be a good symbol for a strip club replacement.
#4 Jamaican Chicken Restaurant
Everybody loves chicken. But a Jamaican restaurant where they serve jerked chicken at a place where at one point people choked the chicken is just too much.
#5 Strip Club
Rebuilding a strip club or a former strip club just sounds like Bad karma. Didn't the closing of the first Club tell you anything?
