The C-USA Tournament began yesterday in Birmingham, Alabama, and the first men's game between FIU and UT San Antonio saw an amazing finish. The score was tied with just three seconds left to play as FIU's Dennis Mavin heaved up a shot from just inside half court. The end result is why college basketball during this time of year is truly March Madness. Their reward was a quarterfinal matchup against #2 seed UTEP, and the Miners ended the Panthers run earlier today by a final score of 83-71.
