When Urban Air announced this past January it planned to convert the former Toys R Us building on S. Mesa Hills in west El Paso into an indoor trampoline/recreation and entertainment center its intention was to open this past summer.

That obviously didn't work out, but as the saying goes, better late than never.

Although an an exact opening date still hasn't been determined, the banner hanging outside reads 'coming soon' and a comment on its Facebook states they are "hoping to open early 2020." Owner Victor Torres was a bit more specific telling the El Paso Times he anticipates a mid to late January 2020 grand opening.

Meanwhile preparations continue.

The outside of the building has been repainted in Urban Air's signature orange and white colors and signage has been added. Inside, work continues on the various sections of the entertainment facility.

When it's all said and done, the 50,000 square-foot fun center will include climbing walls, rope courses, laser tag, spin zone bumper cars, and trampolines to name just a few of the the many recreational activities and attractions "the nation’s largest chain of family-oriented indoor theme parks" offers, as well as party rooms and a cafe. If you ever want to tire out an active kid, this will definitely be the place to do it in.

Admission varies by location, but El Pasoans can probably expect to pay around $24.99 per child for the top of the line "best value Ultimate Attractions" package.
