The Oakland A's 47 year old stadium is a dump!  The home of the Oakland A's and Raiders desperately needs to be replaced, especially after an incident on Sunday when pools of raw sewage formed in the clubhouses.

The down right gross incident forced the A's and Mariners to move to a higher floor and  share the same locker room during Sunday's game.  The locker room they shared is occupied by the Oakland Raiders during the NFL season.  The pipes backed up on the lower levels of the stadium during the A's last homestand which drew 171,756 fans over 6 games.

Thankfully for the A's they are now on the road in Arlington facing the Rangers.  The extent of the damage isn't known yet, but the team will have new carpet in the clubhouses when they return home.  What they really need is a new stadium.

At one time the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum was a wonderful sports venue.  However, it is quite outdated and now has plumbing issues.  It's also worth noting that this isn't the 1970's, 80's or 90's, and baseball and football teams don't share stadiums anymore!

The A's are contending for a postseason birth virtually every season, and the Raiders have quite a storied past as well.  Both franchises deserve new stadiums.  Now it is time for the city of Oakland to step and do something about this crappy situation.
