Alan Culpepper, who starred at Coronado High School and later became an Olympic marathon runner, will be returning to El Paso to coach at UTEP.

For the second straight week the UTEP Men's Track & Field are ranked in the top 25 and are #23. Michael Saruni and Jonah Koech have been chosen to represent UTEP in the NCAA Indoor Championships from March 9-10.

UTEP sophomore Tobi Amusan won the NCAA championship in the 100-meter hurdles, while freshman Emmanuel Korir won the NCAA title in the 800-meter finals.

The UTEP women's track and field team won their first ever C-USA outdoor championships this past weekend at Kidd Field. Tobi Amusan and Emmanuel Korir starred for the Miners.

What a crazy six months it has been for Tobi Amusan. Since arriving in El Paso for her native Nigeria, the freshman dominated CUSA in the hurdles and she was named Athlete of the Year in the conference. Amusan joins Blessing Okagbare as the only two UTEP athletes ever to win the prestigious honor from CUSA since they joined the league in 2006...

With the London Olympics commencing later this month, the home viewers will get a front row seat to some of the greatest athletes in the world.  This guy is not one of them.  This Chinese guy was fast, but not too adept at clearing hurdles...
