With the Seattle Mariners re-signing James "Big Maple" Paxton, it got me thinking of other sports stars that carry a nickname that includes the moniker "Big". Here are some of my favorites with a surprising disproportionate amount of them having played for Seattle sports franchises.

It has been since the 2007-08 season that Supersonics have been in Seattle. The Sonics relocated to Oklahoma City starting the 2008-09 season. Sure people in Seattle miss the Sonics but you would think that people would have let the hostility go that the Sonics left...
