The Texas Department of Transportation, (TxDoT), is always reminding us to slow down for the safety of their workers. Now, it seems we're more in danger than them.
Sixteen-year-old Canadian hockey player Kyle Fundytus died after taking a puck to the throat while blocking a shot during a game. Because of the incident, a risk and safety management committee will meet next month to reconsider the rules on blocking shots, among other concerns. Fundytus was wearing a neck protector at the time of the accident.
