In a swift, resounding fashion, the Miners built a strong lead and never looked back en route to their round one win in the second round of the Conference USA Tournament, beating Old Dominion, 74-64.

On Monday, the league announced Souley Boum (2nd Team) and Jamal Bieniemy (3rd Team) were named to the All C-USA list. On the women's basketball side, Katia Gallegos (2nd Team) and Destiny Thurman (honorable mention) were recognized by league today with an all-conference honor.

For the first time in 18 years, UTEP went to LA Tech and upset the Bulldogs on their home floor in a back-and-forth 63-60 finish that featured 14 lead changes and eight ties.

The Miners will host Louisiana Tech tomorrow night and try and stop one of the most dominant players in Conference USA, sophomore forward Kenneth Lofton Jr.

The Louisiana Tech men's basketball team has won three straight games in C-USA and the Bulldogs take their 11-4 record into El Paso to meet the UTEP Miners.
