In order for the UTEP women's basketball team to advance past the first round of the C-USA Tournament, these players will need big performances on the court.

The UTEP women's basketball team will host Middle Tennessee tomorrow at 1 p.m. after sweeping rival UTSA 85-59 on the road last night.

A third of the way into C-USA play, the UTEP men's and women's basketball teams are on opposite ends of the league's standings.

UTEP needed Katia Gallegos just like she needed UTEP. It was a perfect match for a team that desperately needed a true point guard for the past two seasons. For Gallegos, the opportunity was, and continues to be, a dream come true.
