UTEP sophomore guard Jordan Lathon, who previously entered the transfer portal following the Diamond Head Classic, is back on the Miners' basketball team, per sources.

On an odd Thursday afternoon, the Miners fell in their C-USA opener on the road against Florida International, 69-67, leaving us as puzzled as before.

In the span of a 48-hour period, the UTEP men's basketball team went through a whirlwind of emotions. Rodney Terry addressed the media following practice Monday to talk about it all.

UTEP basketball starting point guard Jordan Lathon enters the transfer portal, one day after sophomore guard Nigel Hawkins did the same. Now, reports have come in saying Hawkins has pulled his name out of the transfer portal and will stay on the team.

Upon the conclusion of non-conference play, UTEP sophomore guard Nigel Hawkins has entered the transfer portal according to Verbal Commits.

The month of December featured as many bumps and lumps in the road as we anticipated, and now the Miners (9-4) will have about a week to prepare for the start of Conference USA play next Thursday.
