The El Paso Chihuahuas are the Triple-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. As a baseball family, the organizations look out for each other, including on social media. The San Diego Padres' catcher Austin Hedges is going viral on ESPN's Facebook page for channeling his inner Deadpool.

Hedges found a Deadpool mask while waiting during a delay due to a bee infestation at the ballpark. The bees seemed to have created a little hive around home plate and the players were not going to risk getting stung by those bees during a game. Hedges believed his Deadpool mask was going to protect him since Deadpool is the latest breakout Marvel anti-hero to come to life on the big screen. No reports of any bee attacks came from that game, so it is safe to say Hedges as Deadpool might have saved him from suffering the rather of a bee sting. That is the magic of a Deadpool mask.
