Congratulations to one of my favorite sportswriters, Ray Sanchez, who just released his eighth book, “The Good, The Bad, and The Funny of El Paso Sports History.” Every book for Ray is a labor of love and I know this latest project took him a few years to research and complete. On Wednesday, Mesa Publishing Corporation, best known for the magazines Real Estate Weekly and Homes of El Paso announced the release of Sanchez’s book. “The Good, The Bad and The Funny of El Paso Sports History” is a fun trip back in time for any El Paso sports fan. Sanchez goes all the way back to 1881 and is a valuable history lesson about El Paso’s greatest sports teams, athletes, coaches, and administrators.

Ray will be joining us on Sportstalk at 4pm this afternoon from Tortugas Sports Lounge at 126 Shadow Mountain Drive to discuss his new book. It’s the perfect holiday gift for dads or anyone who wants to re-live some of the greatest moments in El Paso sports history. “The Good, The Bad, and The Funny of El Paso Sports History” is available at Amazon.com, PDX Printing at 100 Porfirio Diaz Street, and by contacting Ray by email at rayf358@yahoo.com.
