As we began the final hour of Sportstalk this evening, the big story causing a stir among our listeners had nothing to do with sports. Instead, the Twitter world was buzzing when they discovered that Chad was planning to attend the Expose concert this Saturday night at Tricky Falls.

For those of you not familiar with the 3-piece all female vocal group from the late 1980's, here is a quick primer. Miami-based Jeanette Jurado, Gioia Bruno, and Ann Curless had four Billboard Top 100 hits between 1987 and 1993, including "Point of No Return," "Seasons Change," and "Come Go With Me." The original lineup reformed about seven years ago and are making a tour stop in El Paso on Saturday night. When Chad found out that our radio station group had tickets to the show, he jumped at the opportunity to get a pair for him and his wife.

Many of Sportstalk's listeners could not comprehend how a sports fanatic like Chad could possibly want to go to an Expose concert. The answer is simple: it's a trip back in time to when hot female vocal groups dominated the pop charts. I just hope Chad gets a backstage picture with Gioia, Jeannette, and Ann.
